A note on materials & the 5% handling fee
Yes, we charge a handling fee — and we want to be straightforward about it. When we go out to source materials for your job, we pay our cost and pass it through to you with a 5% handling fee capped per visit. We show you the receipt every time.
It's not a markup hiding profit. It covers a small portion of the contractor's travel time and gas for the supply run. You always have the option to supply your own materials — in that case, there's no handling fee at all.
Why does this matter? Because the alternative is what most companies do: bury a 20–30% markup in the materials cost and never tell you. We'd rather show you the math.
