Who we're looking for

We hire selectively. We'd rather have 5 great contractors than 50 unreliable ones.

  • You have real handyman skills — carpentry, plumbing basics, electrical basics, finish work
  • You show up on time and communicate clearly
  • You take pride in clean, professional presentation
  • You want to build customer relationships, not just chase jobs
  • You're reliable enough that customers will request you by name
  • You have reliable transportation and your own basic tools (or are willing to start)

The pay

Payments typically hit your account within 48 hours of completed work. No 30-day waiting periods.

performance bonus

Customer-driven bonuses on top of hourly rate. Happy customers = bigger paychecks.

No commissions. No sales pressure.

We don't pay commissions because we don't want you upselling customers on work they don't need. We reward what actually matters: great work and customer satisfaction. The 5–20% bonus is customer-driven — the better your service, the higher your bonus.

Show up on time, every time

If you'll be late, you communicate. No-shows are not acceptable. Customers plan their day around our visits.

Clean, professional presentation

Branded gear, clean appearance, courteous demeanor. You're welcomed into someone's home.

Respect the customer's home

Drop cloths. Clean-up. Wiped surfaces. Leave it better than you found it. Every visit.

Communicate clearly

Explain what you're doing. Confirm before extra work. Be honest about what you can and can't do.

Own your work

If something's not right, fix it. If you made a mistake, admit it. The customer's trust is the business.

No upselling, no commissions

If a customer needs something outside scope, we tell them. We don't sell what they don't need.

INSURANCE SUPPORT

We require contractor insurance — and we'll help you get there.

Every contractor working with Servir must carry their own general liability coverage that meets our standards. This protects you, the customer, and Servir.

Don't have coverage yet, or have a policy that doesn't quite meet our standards? If you've got the skill and the right attitude, we can help offset your insurance costs to meet our requirements. We'll work out the specifics together at hire \u2014 amount and structure depend on your situation and existing coverage.
